Here is a great alternative to the bare/naked/untaped hoops. A LIGHTLY taped hoop with just enough grip to help keep the hoop up. (pictured on 3/4” 100 psi PE and 5/8” HDPE but more options available!

For beginners 1.2 x your waist in inches is a good starter size. All hoops come with a push button closure and can be coiled down small for travel.
